Flamingos in Madagascar

The flamingos are back!

We are seeing incredible holistic results in Madagascar after planting over 70 million mangrove trees in the Mahabana Estuary. The awesome results surround the logical consideration that when the forests are restored the brine shrimp, algae, and microbe aquatic plants that provide food for flamingos make a big-time comeback. As a result, the flocks of flamingos that have been absent for so long have returned to the estuary!

The video below shows flamingos in the Mahabana Estuary at low tide. Let’s get the word out—we are making a difference!

Help restore the Mangrove forests along the Mahabana Estuary for as little as 10 cents per tree.
